A special opportunity was presented to us… take over an established parrot toy company. Who could say no? Especially with a house full of rescued, adopted and rehomed birds. Everything from Macaws to Finches. And I do mean everything. It takes tremendous devotion and love to care for our "flock" of Macaws, Cockatoos (we have 21), Amazons, Conures, Quakers, Lorys, King Parrots, Rosellas, Senegals, Cockatiels (always our first love), Lovebirds, Budgies, Bourkes, Finches (our first birds), Doves and even a few Pigeons. If it has feathers, although in some cases, feathers are optional, it is welcome in our home. We have dealt with all the usual and the most serious of issues… biting, screaming, plucking and mutilation. We are always happy to lend a hand to anyone, anywhere, who might benefit by our experience. Feel free to email us with your questions. If we can't help you, we probably know who can. We don't charge for that service. It is a "pay it forward" type of thing. We have had plenty of help and advice over the years. There is no substitute for vet care for really serious issues but moral support can really help. We really do make these toys for the benefit of our own birds. Not only do they get fabulous toys but the money we make goes towards their wonderful diets, vet care, enrichments etc. We already work at wonderful full time jobs. But, to provide for our "family", it was necessary to go that extra mile. We know that our customers are trying to do the same so we try to keep our toys affordable as well as safe and fun for your flocks as well. Chewzy Beaks remains located on beautiful Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. All bird toys, parrot toy parts & supplies are designed, manufactured and stored in a bird free environment created specifically for this endeavour.
